Unforgettable moments: 'Us'

A same path to happiness,

Is what we once took,

Beyond each other,

We could never ever look...

Madly in love,

It was all what we had,

We brought joy to each other,

Whenever we were sad...

We had our share of fights, 

But love always won the war,

Until one unfortunate day,

When our apprehensions took us far..

We lost the battle,

Things went from bad to sour,

We tried so hard to win,

We lost the love, got the scar...

We have fallen apart now,

And it's been so long,

And yet it's so strange,

For each other, we both long...

I know you feel the same,

Don't you lie to me,

I know you rewind life as well,

And it's us you see...

I'm scared of 'us' too,

Still, that's a thing I crave,

You memories make me weak,

I still don't want to be brave...

I don't know what will happen to 'us'

Which doesn't exist and yet in some way does,

But I do know this for sure,

The most beautiful part of my life was and will always be - 'us!'

The tunes of love!

This one was written my me somewhere between 2009 and 2010. Me and my girlfriend were going through a really rough patch. She wanted to go away from me. I loved her very much and had to do something to stop her. I had to restore back her faith in me and my love for her. I had to tell her in someway, that it's all going to be fine. She always loved it when I wrote for her. I remembered once, in the early stages of our relationship, she told me, 'You know, I always wanted a guy who will have a guitar in one hand, a book in the another one and a joke on his lips to make me smile!' And then, I wrote this poem for her. She was back with me the moment she read it!

A guitar in one hand,
And a book in other...
A joke on my lips,
As we walk the path of life furthur...

Am I your prince charming?
Am I your man?
You can't say no,
Because I know I'm...

I want you to be close,
I want you to be near...
Just hold me tight,
And there will be no fear...

If you feel alone,
Listen to me and hold my hand,
Your loneliness will go away,
It will start slipping like sand...

I know you love music,
I know you love the beat...
So, I'll tell you in a way you understand,
And I promise I won't cheat...

When you love a song,
You just lose yourself in the flow,
You ignore the darkness,
And you look at the glow...

We may have a dark day,
We may have a dark time,
Groove in the music of my love,
It'll sound like a soothing wind chime...

For I love you and you still make my heart skip a beat,
The tunes of love will make us fall in love all over again,
And it will be a renewed lovely musical feat!

Come to me ... again!

Numb, empty from within,

I close my eyes,

Trying to find you,

But all in vain...

I remember the pure moments of my life,

Free from sorrows,

I search again inside me,

Only to be disappointed again...

You were there in my life once,

I boasted of you proudly,

How can you just go away?

How can you leave me alone?

Those who have you,

Feel fortunate to kiss you,

Those who don't,

Just keep craving...

Not in human form,

But you still are powerful of all,

The key to a man's happiness,

And a reason for sadness at the same time...

You're unpredictable and cruel,

But I still believe in you,

Oh! That feeling of being in love,

I know you don't come that easy,

You come only to a lucky few!

That little stranger!

Lost in his own world,

Wandering on the streets of the city…

This little boy has one intention,

He wants some money earned out of pity…

He’ll not say even a word,

He’ll talk through his eyes…

Eyes which have the depth of desperation,

Equal to the depth of skies…

He doesn't have any friends,

Nor he has any toys to play with…

He works even in the scorching heat,

He can never afford to relax and sit…

He gets up in the morning,

Somewhere, a kid his age is getting ready for school,

He has no idea what a school is,

He’s told that it’s an institution of fools…

A dark future waits for him,

And he’s completely unaware…

He’ll probably live like this forever,

But he has no one to care…

Cheating your conscience,

You tell yourself, there’s nothing you can do…

Look in the mirror and ask yourself,

Is that really true?

Snap out of your selfish life,

He’s your responsibility too...

You can bring a little change,

Only if you decide to do!

Love is all you should care about!

He brings an orchid,
You demand a rose ..
Why do you forget?
It's his heart you chose!

He writes a love letter,
You want him to write a song...
Is it so hard to understand?
He has loved you all along!

He tells you he loves you,
You tell him it's a lie,
Aren't you taking him for granted?
Aren't you making him cry?

He loves you crazily,
You still want the proof...
Your doubt on him so much,
You leave alone and aloof...

He grows out of love,
And you give him the blame...
You tell him that he has changed,
Ask yourself, are you the same?

Love him for what he is,
Not for whom you want him to be ..
Keeping all other things aside,
It's his love and care you should see!

Socha nahi aage kya hoga!

Khoobsurat hasi dekhi uski,
Dekha uska saaf dil...
Pyar kar baitha usse,
Socha nahi aage kya hoga ...

Ek nayi duniya ka sapna dekha,
Jaha sirf woh thi aur tha main..
Hazaar khwaab piroye,
Socha nahi aage kya hoga ..

Sab kuch luta diya us par,
Pyar me uske majnu bana..
Laga ek din woh meri hogi,
Socha nahi aage kya hoga ...

Phir pata chala mazhab ke bare,
Woh  jisne mere pyar ko tod diya..
Ladta raha mazhab ke rakhwalo se,
Socha nahi aage kya hoga ..

Haar gaya, dur ho gaya usse ek din,
Uski yaadon me ab bhi jita hu ...
Umeed ab bhi zinda hain usse pane ki,
Socha nahi aage kya hoga!

You can succeed in making them go away from each other on the name of religion, but can you ever succeed in making them forget each other ever? 

Tere liye mere yaar!

I was told by one my close friends that I always have all the time in the world to write poems for a girl but i never wrote anything for him till date. And that made me write this. He's a guy who's selfless and would never back away from helping his friends. So, though this is about him, I'm sure many of you will relate to it, as we all have at least one friend like that in our lives!

Bane chahe dushman zamana hamara, salaamat rahe dostana hamara!

Haazaro taklifo ka tu shikar,
Phir bhi hasi ka pitara tere paas...
Dushmano ki jagah nahi teri zindagi mein,
Tune hamesha dost hi banaye khaas...

Jab bataya tujhe apni taklif ke bare mein,
Us taklif ko tune apne sar le liya...
Meri taklif ko apna banake,
Mujhe gale se laga liya...

Khuda bhi deta hoga teri misal,
Aur karta hoga tujh pe fakr...
Tu wahi chiz hain jo usne sadiyon pehli banayi,
Aur muddato baad nazar aayi...

Tere bare mein kya kahu mere dost,
Teri shaksiyat ki tarah teri dosti bhi hain pak...
Dosti hum bhi nibhayenge teri,
Bas zindagi deti rahein apna sath... 

That amazing feeling!

When do you know it's love? And if you get to know it in some way, can you be really sure about it? The best thing about love is that you can neither predict it nor you can stop it. That confused state might seem very frustrating when you're going through that situation, but you'll crave for it when you're out of it. Because that confusion itself is very sweet and amazing! This is something I wrote while in that confusion, a state which I crave for now. And what better way to make this visible to my readers on Valentine's day itself. Enjoy it and be in love forever! ;) ;)

You bring a smile, even when you aren't around!

I look at her,
She looks away..
Her gorgeous smile,
Lightens up my day..

A dream about her,
Her morning thought..
When she's away,
I miss her a lot ..

She makes me crazy,
Her eyes talk to me..
Her innocent charm,
She's all I wanna see ..

Am I in love with her?
Does she feel the same?
It's driving me nuts,
It's driving me insane ..

An answer from within,
Fastens the heart beat..
It's a candid confession,
From a heart who can't cheat..

I was always in love with her,
Right from the very start..
When our eyes met for the first time,
She took that place in my heart!

Tu nahi toh kuch bhi nahi!

For a girl who doesn't like rain, but was a whiff of freshness in my life.. For a girl whose mere thought makes me miss her crazily .. And for a girl who doesn't even know that I love her like anything!

Teri yaadon me simat kar reh gayi hain zindagi,
Yaad karta hu har pal tere sath bitaye haseen lamho ko ..
Bhulane ki koshish ki hazaar bar tujhe,
Har bar tujhe yaad karne ka ek naya bahana mil jata hain ...

Socha nahi tha kabhi is kadar tujhse pyaar hoga,
Tere jane ke baad tere liye dil bekaraar hoga..
Na jane kaha chali gayi tu in nazro se door,
Band aakhon se bhi tujhe aksar dhundne ki koshish karta hu ...

Dur hokar bhi kitna paas mehsus karta hu tujhe,
Kash tu is dil ki yeh bebas halat jaan pati...
Har gum ko gale se lagaya hain is deewane ne,
Chand khushiyan mili toh woh bhi tere bina kitni ajeeb lagi ..

Arsa beet gaya tujhse haste hue dekh kar,
Woh hasi jo meri khushi ka khazana hua karti thi...
Wapas aa ja laut kar ke mere aey mehboob,
Kaha tha tune kisi din ki meri hasi bhi tere jeene ka sahara hain!

Teri raah mein baithe bas waqt guzarta ja raha hu,
Ab toh bas tere aane ke baad hi woh haseen waqt aayega ..
Jab phir zindagi lagne lagegi zindagi ki tarah,
Aur  teri hasi se mera har din muskaryega!

Because 'they' matter the most!

Broken, shattered

Kicked down again…

He keeps walking,

Taking the pain…

He forgets,

Forgives the wrong…

Problems galore,

They make him strong…

He cries a minute,

Laughs at the other…

He can’t afford to cry,

It hurts his mother…

Once very fierce,

Now an old man…

His father needs him,

He is his future plan…

An adorable sister,

Looks up to him…

A source of courage,

He is her vim…

Just not a brother,

Just not a son…

He is a ray of hope,

Bright as the sun…

It's for them he'll live,

For them he'll die...

He say the truth

For them he'll lie...

 He fights back,

And wipes a tear…

For he lives in a world,

There’s no place for fear…

The Proposal

A step closer,
She felt shy..
Said she was fine,
Didn't believe the lie...

Our eyes met,
Her lips went dry..
She tried escaping,
Didn't let her try...

Making her nervous,
Whispered in her ears...
The genuine three words,
Moved her to tears...

Kissing her tears softly,
Asked if she felt the same...
Her emotions came out,
And I was to blame...

'And what if I don't',
Said with a hint of mischeif...
My heart beat doubled,
I was looking for relief...

'With you I live,
Without you I'll die...
Protecting you as a soul,
With you I'll fly'

She came closer,
Her breath fell on my neck...
She said, 'I love you'
As she gave me a peck...

'Together forever
Till death do us apart...'
Saying it lovingly,
She was the queen of my heart!

I see an ocean of sadness,

The love which has died in you,
I want to strengthen that belief...

A chance is what I want,

To let go of the sadness,
And relish the rapturous verve...

Hold my hands tightly,

As the night grips me,
Into its dark hole..
It shatters my broken heart,
It breaks my soul..

Nobody to talk to,
I spend a sleepless night..
I fight against my past,
Against my feelings I fight..

Every moment feels so heavy,
I'm tired and I just want to cry..
I've been trying to fight alone,
For once I don't want to try...

Black and numb gets the night,
But not as numb as I get,
I wonder what 've I ever done,
To deserve such a dark fate...

The hunger of love is huge,
And it kills me inside..
It kills the barrier of time,
It gets larger than the tide..

People tell me to hold on,
They tell me to have some faith...
They tell me love will come for sure,
It can be a little late...

One day I'll get that love,
Is all what I hope and believe,
Taking my fears to sleep,
I tell my apprehensions to leave!

A touch of simplicity,

How much adorable you look,

It drives me completely crazy,
It sends shivers down my soul..

It such an amazing feeling,

Brings a serene joy to me..

Aesthetic are the things unsaid,

The Broken tree!

In an island of loneliness,
There once stood a broken tree..
It gave everybody shelter,
It's own pain it could not free..

It's stem was huge,
And it took a lot of pain..
It stood in times of trouble,
It stood in the storming rain..

The birds sat on it branches,
Chirped about what they feel..
When it was the tree's chance,
They flew away for their meal..

The animals told their problems,
The tree helped them in the best way..
It had so many problems of it's own,
Trying to spread happiness he didn't wanna say...

The tree could never say no,
But still was always alone..
And when it was dying one day,
There was nobody to moan..

The animals ate it's leaves,
And the stem was burned down..
The other trees enjoyed,
As the broken tree died with a frown..

Today when the tree is no more,
It's missed every second..
It was a friend to everybody,
But still never had a true friend...

Confessions

A heart full of love,
But still no clue..
I don't know,
When I'll get to you..

Disappointments every time,
But still have a faith..
Love will knock my door,
I trust my fate..

Dreams unrealized,
I have to fulfill..
I'll have you one day,
Even if I have to kill..

I'm that desperate,
For love, I crave..
I'll be loyal always,
I'll take your love to my grave..

Just come to me,
For you, I wait..
Hold me forever,
Before it's too late..

I woke up and I saw you besides me,

The sensual desire!

The night will turn into noon..
Tonight when you enter the room..
Wearing a white satin angelic robe..
And whispering my name near my ear lobe..

I'll come close with the flames in my heart..
You step back as you know what's about to start..
I hold you tight taking my hands into your shining hair..
I kiss you on your soft lips taking care..

I kiss you again as with my fingers i lift up your chin..
I move my fingers on your neck and your lustful skin..
I look at you as i say..'darling,tonight let's get lost into each other..'..
You reply back..'i want it too,but be soft as we move further..'

I lift you up and make you lie down on the bed..
I make you feel all of me being your lovely ted..
I get over you with all of my strength and power..
Lust and love in a combined way I'll shower..

I will make love to you till night becomes dawn and dawn becomes noon..
