The Broken tree!

In an island of loneliness,
There once stood a broken tree..
It gave everybody shelter,
It's own pain it could not free..

It's stem was huge,
And it took a lot of pain..
It stood in times of trouble,
It stood in the storming rain..

The birds sat on it branches,
Chirped about what they feel..
When it was the tree's chance,
They flew away for their meal..

The animals told their problems,
The tree helped them in the best way..
It had so many problems of it's own,
Trying to spread happiness he didn't wanna say...

The tree could never say no,
But still was always alone..
And when it was dying one day,
There was nobody to moan..

The animals ate it's leaves,
And the stem was burned down..
The other trees enjoyed,
As the broken tree died with a frown..

Today when the tree is no more,
It's missed every second..
It was a friend to everybody,
But still never had a true friend...

What a wonderful thought and expression!

We miss things when it's gone. Before that we take it for granted...

Lovely work!

You've very expressed human emotions and pain by drawing a perfect parallel with a tree. Loved it as always! :)

Mahima - Thanks a lot kid for being my most esteemed reader! :)

Sagrii - Thanks a lot! Yeah knowing the value of a person before he's no more is actually which is necessary! :)

Its the way how it is.

When one has ears that can understand the silence, but most of the times its own sigh is not heard by anyone.

P.S.Your recent post, deleted??

Beyond Horizon - What a beautiful thing to say! :)..Thank you so much for reading!
And as for the post, it was actually a poem for somebody and loved the way I wrote it (sorry for the lack of modesty), but then I thought it's better if she doesn't see it! Some feelings are best left unexpressed!:)

Brilliant metaphor used here...loneliness of tree used to signify the a brand of people who give a lot to everyone and are always surrounded by people but are actually alone and have no one to hear their stories..

Good Work :)

Kunal - Thanks a lot man! They've no one and deep within they've the strength to deal with everything themselves! But I think these are the people who are really selfless at times! :)
